In the Spring, I posted a few write ups about the benefits of "sweating".
Sweating is at the core of why we do detoxing.
We want to expel those unwanted substances from our body.
But how often do we need to detox? How often do we need to accelerate our sweating capacity?
Isn't doing it once a year enough? And the best time to do it is in the Spring after a long winter? Isn't it? That's debatable.
I like to do seasonal detoxes and the 2 main ones are in the Spring and right now, in the Autumn.
In recent posts, I've offered several smoothie & detox juices which are part of detoxing.
I've talked about pre cleanse diets. And now I want to emphasize again about exercise and particularly, sweating.
The 1st step in a detox is to stir up the unwanted substances within our body and then 2nd step is to release them out of the body. And we do this through sweating.
When you sweat this is what happens.
Your body ushers the unwanted substances through your lymphatic system. The lymphatic system, a body system we don't often speak about, is a sister and complementary system to your circulatory system.
It's main job is to take the unwanted substances that your body has ingested and throw them back out. It processes your body's garbage.
How do we sweat? When we walk briskly or run or lift weights.
If we don't sweat out the unwanted substances, they stay in our body & fester.
They begin to clump up with other unwanted substances creating blockages. The blockages slow down or even stop our circulation.
When this occurs, our body organs, blood, bones are less equipped to do their job. They then may fall ill.
So as you can see, it's good to sweat.
Be mindful that you must monitor the level of exertion you undertake so as to not hurt yourself. Everyone is different and has a different level of health.
Another important cautionary mention is that you should NOT and I emphasize, SHOULD NOT, sweat too much.
If you do, you may imbalance yourself, become dizzy and ill. Over time your muscles will diminish as well.
When you exercise, walk briskly or run, always drink more water than what you normally drink.
To have a healthy, well functioning body, you should drink about 8 glasses of purified, non-chlorinated water everyday.
I don't believe herbal non-caffeinated teas can substitute for water. Or waters with fruit flavouring.
Drink pure, clear water.
When you exercise, add in an additional 1 to 2 glasses of water specifically after your exercise regimen.
Sweating every day not only facilitates your detox cleansing your internal body, but it is probable you will lose weight and acquire a leaner muscle tone, all benefits.
Your emotional state increases as well with the increase in good health and a fast acting circulatory system and metabolism.
