Cold & Flu Remedies, Eucalyptus Salve

When you're suffering from chest congestion & inflammation, a eucalyptus salve & steam is what will soothe your pain, release mucus & decrease the inflammation.

INGREDIENTS

30 drops Eucalyptus essential oil
40 drops Camphor essential oil
15 drops Wintergreen essential oil
1 ounce Olive oil
1/2 teaspoon Beeswax

METHOD

Melt the beeswax in the olive oil.

Remove from heat.  Let cool to room temperature and add the essential oils.

Stir, pour into salve container.  Let sit until substance gains a salve-like texture.

TO APPLY

Place a steaming hot, wet compress on your chest for 1 minute.

Place dry towel over top your chest to ensure hot steam goes into your chest.

After a minute, it will begin to cool.  Take off the compress.

Rub 1 teaspoon (or whatever portion feels good) of the eucalyptus salve.

Take another hot steaming, wet compress and reapply to chest.  Cover with dry towel.

Hold for a few minutes.

If you're feeling better, remove the compress, apply more eucalyptus salve.

Cover and rest.

If you still feel heavily congested, do the process again one to two more times until you feel relief.

Drink room temperature, pure water to flush out mucus from the body.

Get rest & more sleep than normal.  You should be feeling better in a few hours to the next day.
