Health Benefits of Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is an ayurvedic treatment that is not only very inexpensive but is also very easy to do and has numerous health benefits.
 
Benefits include systemic changes within your body as it removes toxins that store inside your organs. 
 
I've also read many people have noticed a reduction in their teeth plaque and a strengthening of their gums. 
 
To give yourself an oil pulling treatment, put one tablespoon of an oil in your mouth
 
The oil can be sesame seed oil, virgin olive oil, sunflower oil or coconut oil
 
Swish the oil in your mouth for 15 to 20 minutes.  Do this once a day. 
 
I find it easiest to do in the morning and sometimes also in the evening if I am treating  a particular ailment.
 
I like to use coconut oil as I like the taste and my mouth feels very fresh at the end of the treatment.
 
After swishing the oil in your mouth for the 15-20 minutes, discard the oil and then brush your teeth as you normally would. 
 
I use my homemade toothpaste which you can find here on my blog. 
 
I like to use this toothpaste because it doesn't have any preservative, colouring or flavouring in it which I like to avoid. 
 
When you try this therapy NEVER swallow the oil after you've finished swishing. 
 
It's now loaded with all the unwanted substances from your body that you want to usher out of your body.  Don't reintroduce them back into your system.
 
I've given you a very limited introduction to a remarkable treatment that is, as I say, considered to help the body restore itself to a healthier state.
